The best memories of my Journey with the Lord
Heard this playing in a book store many years ago and told the clerk I had to have the album--- Joy by Surprise. I treasure it!! R I P Bob.
I agree - I just loved this song when I heard it on the radio back in the day!
Stop This Haulin' Water To The Sea was written by Reba Rambo and Dony McGuire, but Cynthia Clawson's rendition is spectacular and moving! Brings back a ton of memories.
Wish this would make it onto Spotify!
Where's Rich Mullins?
This is 1969-1979. Rich Mullins' first song that charted did not appear until 1987. Check out the 1980-89 Timesweep to hear that.
1958 songs at 3:40 Bird Dog; The Purple People Eater; Great Balls of Fire; Splish Splash; Return to Me; April Love; Do You Wanna Dance?; Peggy Sue; Book of Love; The Stroll; Secretly; Tom Dooley 1959 songs at 4:35 Tragedy; Mr. Blue; Come Softly to Me; Donna; Smoke Gets in Your Eyes; 16 Candles; Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Thank you for posting. Would you be interested in Teach Inn tapes? Might have 2. I might also have a cassette of recorded shows.
More of the Scott Ross Show or any of the teaching tapes would be great to be able to hear (and possibly digitize)
Nice piece of forgotten history
Hallelujah ❤Thank you Jesus ❤
Hard to believe this is from *50* years ago!
@@StevenWeyhrich Oh wow! Didn't know that. I've always loved this song since my childhood 🤩
Thanks for the memories! I was a staff member of WHME during those years. Good to hear old friends and familiar music..
I did not live in South Bend, so all I have of WHME are these "snapshots" of my intermittent visits there. But of all of my radio recordings, the WHME ones are the ones I think I like the best. Hard to believe it was over 40 years ago!
FYI: I'm being prevented from tracking this comp. It's likely YT (👺)
When Jesus' Second Coming happens He won't be coming back to stay, but rather to gather the redeemed of all ages up into Heaven to live and reign with Him for 1,000 years... not until the end of that millennium shall Jesus return to stay.
Thank you for putting all this together, Steve! I'm sure it took a LOT of work. It brings back some great memories from back in the day. Thanks again!
Can somebody PLEASE tell me what happened to Joy? Did she die? I was a fan of Bob & Joy Cull music back then... and have so many question still unanswered.
this aircheck brings back of my grandmother fussing at me for changing the radio station on the stereo to WLS!!
This wasn’t “the” tornado. The May 6th tornado hit at around 4:30.
Let's hope another revival is on the way; another move of the Spirit.
oh it is so needed!
@@StevenWeyhrichIndeed it is brother. Thank you for this video.
Do your ears hang low?
This brings back so many memories. When I was younger I was judged harshly by my pears for listening to Jesus
Amazing soul-lifting song 😊

How can I get the song welcome to the family
see note below
Welcome to the family
Stockton, Ca. 1983. I saw Issac Air Freight. The opening band was a local Band Called Face to Face. they were quite good. A few years later the later the lead Singer was also the leader of the campus ministry at my college. We became great friends.
My uncle lived in Costa Mesa in the middle of the Jesus Revolution. He went to another church but would go to Calvary chapel to hear music. One night he walks in and the place is packed and just electric. Every seat filled. He said there was this hippie on stage beating a piano to death. Of course that Hippie was Keith Green.
Whoa! Maybe it was *this* concert! If your uncle is still around, you should ask him.
@@StevenWeyhrich This was 1977 and my uncle said it was 1975 before Green released his first Album
@@johnharris6655 Ah, I see. That would have been a great concert to hear, though!
Love this song!
So many great memories. Lots of fantastic music here. Thanks for sharing these!
Great song unto the testimony of our LORD Amen and Amen
Can't believe it was from *50* years ago!
Brought back a lot of great memories of the early 80's in my high school days and also during my time in the Marine Corps from '85 to '89. It was great to reflect where I was stationed at when those songs came out. Loved David Martin, Michael W Smith, Rob Frazier, and Margret Becker. Great Music. Thank you.
Erik Nelson & Michelle Pillar's album touched me deeply - I can still remember the tears and the emotions I went through while listening to that album over 40 years ago. The Misfit was one of those albums that revealed the love of God to me in a way that I have never forgotten. I'm thankful for the music that came out of my generation during those years, but more thankful that God revealed himself to many of us in a time when there were so many other distractions pulling people away from considering the claims of Christ. Sort of reminds me of today with the culture so set against the idea and reality of God's love and His assurance that evil will be vanquished forever. Thanks for putting snippets of these meaningful and creative songs together!
That's one of the reasons I made this - the music and wakening to Jesus' call on my life went together at that special time. And yes, we desperately need a Jesus movement now, so many years later, for all of the same reasons it was needed back then!
Great job my friend. I don’t know how you got all that vintage radio.
Some I have on my own tapes (Scott Ross Show, Larry Black Show, Jesus Solid Rock), and others I found on the net.
I saw sweet comfort at their last concert about 5 years ago and they did chase in the wind one of my favorites
Thanks so much for posting these. Growing up in NJ (outside NYC) we only got CCM on a college station show on Saturday mornings. So of course I taped it whenever I could, like you did. Had those tapes a long time, though most fell apart. They don't make music like this anymore...
Do you have a smiliar thing for Jesus Music between 1990 - 1999?
Have not moved into that decade yet. Perhaps some day … :-)
@@StevenWeyhrich There is a demand for it as I am going through the comment section
@@Just_in_Rich I recognize that. Here are my limitations, however. First, the 1970s and 80s were my golden age of CCM. I listened to the music heavily during that time. I understand that for others, the 1990s, or 2000s or 2010s may be THEIR golden age, and that's why they'd like to hear clips of those songs again. However, after I married in the mid-1980s and had a family, my available time to keep up with the new music dwindled rapidly. I have other music I recorded off the radio that are on other videos on this channel, but it was just not as intense as before i married. I do enjoy some of the music of the 1990s, but don't know a large amount of it. The other limitation is that to create the 1970s and 1980s Timesweep videos was a fair amount of work; finding the music to take clips of, getting album art, etc, is involved. And I still have a full time job that actually pays my living expenses; these videos out UA-cam are completely non-monetized, as I do not own the rights to any of it, so I put them up just because I want to share it with others who may also enjoy it. So, yes, I do have an interest in creating a Timesweep for the 1990s, but it's just not on the forefront of my projects at this time. Pray that God gives me the time and enthusiasm!

I remember listening to this song on KGOL radio station when attended Texas Bible College in Houston, TX. Thanks for posting this song
A great song!
Thanks for these Steven. Absolutely a God thing that you recorded these radio shows back in the day. I play these volumes 1-8 and the Scott Ross shows while I play cards on the computer. Great music. The oldest ones take me back to when I first met Jesus. My whole life has been changed by Him.

One of my first three Christian albums as a teenage new believer in Jesus was Mansion Builder. I bought every one of their albums after that and then later found a cassette tape of In the volume of the book. God truly gave Annie a gift in songwriting and their voices together are truly incomparable. Such a blessing to the body of Christ then and still going today.❤️
As soon as I saw them in the late 70's, they were family!
Steve Camp left the industry in the 90s. He realized he was charging people money to bring the Gospel to them and he couldn't do it anymore. He has been an evangelist ever since. While I don't agree with his theology, I greatly admire his conviction and courage!
What don’t you agree with I thought he was pretty solid
@@rosebatham3342 I love Steve's music. What I admire is his conviction to leave a lucrative career in music because he couldn't justify charging money to share the Gospel. In that, Steve and I agree... the industry is fundamentally about money. Steve is also a five point Calvinist. Still, I've watched his more recent videos and I think he is reaching lost souls. But, unlike him, I believe those souls have a choice, a responsibility, whether or not to respond to the Gospel.
Loved this more, than his 1986 remake. Can't undo that 1950's sound.
